1. I wish I'd had the courage to live a life true to myself, not the life others expected of me.
2. I wish I didn't work so hard.
3. I wish I'd had the courage to express my feelings.
4. I wish I had stayed in touch with my friends
5. I wish that I had let myself be happier.

Meet Matt
Even in high school I enjoyed tutoring and training people. I loved helping someone have the light bulb moment where they understood something they hadn’t just moments before. Now, years later, I am clear that my life is about making the difference for others through conversations. I have the training to help people see things in a new way, and to be able to have them be heard and know that I can be in their shoes and see their point of view. I can then help them have access to another point of view that is in line with what they say their life is about, resulting in peace, freedom, happiness, business results, better relationships, or whatever else they say is important. Doing that also gives me a life that I love.
An Exceptional Life is not simply a great life or a happy life, it’s a life filled with exceptions. It’s about having and doing the things that other people say can’t be had or done.
Let’s Get Started

Updating Life
by Matt Stephans | Coaching
It's easy for us to get into a pattern where we work hard to develop ourselves, or our life, and then rest afterward. A difficulty arises when we let that rest go on. There is no top to this mountain, nor is that the point of the climb. For five and a half years I was...

Instructions For a Bad Day
by Matt Stephans | Inspirational
We all have bad days. The game is to not let the bad days have us. You have feelings and emotions, and you are *not* your feelings and emotions. This is a great video with dialogue by spoken word poet Shane Koyczan. The video was made by Jon Goodgion and has Shane's...

The other major take way I have from the time I spent coaching with Matt is the recognition of my impact on the world around me. It’s quite easy to think you are an island but none of us are, and our actions impact those around us whether we notice or not. When I began to practice noticing this, I was shocked in good ways and bad. I realize how important it is to be responsible for the things I do and when I have not, to acknowledge it. For this, my relationships at work and at home are better, and the people in my life feel I do truly care about them, and that makes me feel incredible.
It was a gift to be able to work with Matt. I feel very grateful to both him and my employer for offering such support and being committed to having people be better for having had them in their life, that is truly exceptional.
